And I prefer JLWBigLil’s posts. Capturing the very essence of what it means to support the Reds. He has a few years on me but I too remember those dark days of Division 4 and even then, as a young child, knowing that I loved Barnsley and that I always would. It’s been a rollercoaster in recent times but there’s no way I’m getting off and just cannot wait for whatever adventure, pitfalls, triumph and disaster await us next. Bring it on.
Last season two clubs went out of business - a number of clubs have MASSIVE financial problems and are heading for the skids - some of the big clubs have got so big they've lost contact with their fans. Let's be grateful we actually have a stable club to follow - a club that matches its supporters. Thousand of football fans up and down the country are not in the fortunate position of being able to say that. Last season was brilliant and I look forward with optimism to this season - new manager and players old/new will all have my backing and support. if you're not optimistic why bother following BFC - ffs!
Nauseating. Utter nauseating. Sycophantic, sentimental drivel from start to finish. In short, the kind of post I expect to see on Owlstalk. Well said, mate. Well said. 13 sleeps to Oakwell.
