on the face of it yes

to lose a player who scores 14 goal from midfield BUT we have hardly started on fire this year with him!

Sorry but Howard going might be the plus the TEAM needs

It must be bad enough trying to get good understanding throughout the team when they are from such different places , but if on the top of that there is anyone in that team who is distracting from that principle objective, then I say let him go. No one member is bigger than the team as a whole. If he makes good elsewhere then good luck to him but we shall aslo have improved in the meantime.

I'd say the opposite, this will bond the team together a fresh start, a fresh leader its what the club needed.

sorry but if it is about wages

then he has shown the club no respect, he signed a new deal on better money and if he was ***** last season would he have asked for less money...........like **** he would!?

8 games in is too soon to judge a player and last season he was quality but that means **** all as a player has to prove himself over and over again every season!

    wages

reputedly the club captain is on less then the 2nd choice keeper and an aging has been central defender...

who blames Howard for being p1ssed off....

goodbye Brian thanks for the memories....

He was happy with the contract when he signed it.

And obviously agreed to the length of the contract.

So, are you saying we shouldn't sign better quality players (you may say those players aren't in their respective positions) because the current crop want their contracts changing way before they are due to end??? You have to have a budget you know.

I dont see Foster moaning about his wages yet he's arguably the best player at the club - more valuable that Howard thats for sure!

I am saying he is out of contract in the summer and should have been offered a new one before it came to this.

And yes as club captain he should be on more than the reserve keeper unless you disagree....????

RE: He was happy with the contract when he signed it.

Of course I agree that the club captain should be on more money that a reserve keeper - but that doesnt change the fact that he signed a contract and was happy with the terms of it.

However, giving Howard double and then some on his wages would have meant we would not have been able to sign at least one of the summer signings.

And finally - if we would have sorted his contract out that would have meant we would have had to fall to his demands. He's not worth 10k a week of anyones money - good luck to Sheff Utd if they pay it!

At prem clubs, I think you'll find he's a benchwarmer at best......

not played many top flight games, when he was at the Blunts he was touted as the next big thing only the step up was and is far too big, Howard is making the same mistake in my opinion.

    His set pieces are ****

with one exception...Preston away last season and the midfield should look solid..it had two defensive midfielders in it
