We sold some players who had no intention of staying. Conor Hourihane wouldn't have stopped us being relegated as he wouldnt have been here to do so. We did go down but the sales left us financially independent and an attractive enough proposition for one of the most powerful consortiums in English football. Balance Hourihane etc staying for another year or so at wages to bankrupt us and doing ok before the inevitable downturn against having owners who just might be able to alter the whole future of the club.
Donny Tyke I think. Different owners this time round. Our better players are on longer contracts. The need to sell isn't there. Fingers crossed.
They lost to Everton on Boxing Day. We beat Peterborough. I'd swap places with em every day of the week. As would anyone with half an ounce of sanity.
So would I. Are you telling me you'd be posting positive stuff if we were currently in Burnley's position though? Cos I don't believe you.
I definitely would but seeing as we can’t then I’m quite happy to see where this season takes us, if we started slipping down the league then I would voice my disapproval but until that happens it’s pointless worrying about it.
Alas just six... I blame this on having a life...did make the Oxford game though. Sadly can't make this Saturday...friend* getting hitched. *Ya might need a dictionary...
Conan, you started the thread mocking those you don't agree with as presumably self appointed "super fans". This from someone who regularly trots out the I'm a better fan line because you reckon you go to more matches. You then compound it by asking someone on the exact same thread how many games they've been to. The irony is staggering. Here's the thing. I've been to one game this season so far. Thing is....there's such a thing as iplayer.
