I try to be positive but as you say it is depressing watching the reds at the moment . I have had season ticket for years - might not bother next year - thats how bad its got
Lose on Saturday and it’s 9 points adrift having played a game more, with 15 games remaining. Big game. Pivotal. Vital. Key. And other similar words.
No, to be fair you waited until 30th September 2023 before you were expressing your dissatisfaction... https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/posts/3189730/
If you can read you will see I wasn’t calling for his head, just expressing concern about how we were playing at the time. And it’s not got any better has it. By the end of his tenure I was wanting him sacked, along with a large proportion of the fanbase. I can now say I was wrong & it’s come back to bite us on the arse. No shame in that. I haven’t even called for Clarkes head yet, lesson learnt maybe, as I feel it would be pointless & set us back even further.
We'd need a consistent run of form similar to the Heckingbottom one post-LJ to trouble the play-offs from where we find ourselves and, even with the most rose-tinted specs I can find, I don't think we have a good enough Head Coach or a good enough squad to achieve that.
In my opinion, I reckon its a case of Neerav Unfortunately being a tad naive, I'd say he's having his pants pulled down and his backside spanked by those he trusts to run things...
Between 10 and 12 wins should give you a chance to get top six. I can’t see that from 16 games. But, as you point out, we’ve seen turnarounds before.
Worth mentioning though, that the top two places were more or less spoken for before a ball was kicked, which is a measure of how tough it has become. Not just us towing this season. Posh in a relegation scrap, Huddersfield have probably ruined their chance of automatic, Bolton might not make the playoffs & Rovrum probably hoped to do better.
That's staggering, I didn't realise it was so many just thought the goals had been more spread this season etc
