Re: Agree with what you are saying

I dunno. Advertise in the broadsheets. See who applies and take it from there.

I can imagine a few people would want to work for a football club. I'd take a pay cut to work for one.

Re: Love how we try to take the moral high ground by claiming we live within our mean

Like most other clubs in our situation. No money, struggling to balance investment with risk.
The difference being that we are actually, (unlike plenty of other clubs) trying to do something about it. I did say, "trying to live within our means".
BFC seems to have learnt from its admin experience. So, yes we may still be running at a loss with a sugar daddy at hand, but we are hardly splashing the cash either (which is where this thread came in).
So, in a business context, like loads of other clubs, we still haven'y cracked it, but by comparison to alot of other clubs I'd rather be in our shoes, thank you very much.

Coventry, Donny, Leicester, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Birmingham. Six clubs in our league, off the top of my head, that, I would be concerned about if I was a fan. Living WELL beyond their means/ dodgy owners / etc.
Nothing is guaranteed with BFC, but I do think that we are doing our best. So yes, I'd be happy taking the moral highground in that context.

It would be easy to attract a CEO with a salary of £100000 pa. I'm not sure he could do a better job than Don Rowing who I believe has the interests of the club at heart not necessarily the players.

Re: A new first for the BBS

Only one problem with the congratulations: the phrase is "paragon of virtue", not paradigm. Which makes your photo below even more appropriate, funnily enough.

I'm going back to sit in my corner now and read the rest of my dictionary.

    Paradigm is applicable, though

Did you like my piccie? Try as I might, I couldn't think of a way to justify a photo of a half naked lady.

    It is, you're right

But a paradigm is a model, so a model of virtue. Which is exactly what I was trying to say.

We've made our mistakes and now we are working in a different, more correct way. We should be proud of that in my opinion.

To those who want to offer players a longer term contract on high wages, I simply offer the following name:

    Mike Sherron
