As another poster just said, appears that Pearson was too far inside as well. may be an instructions thing. I'd say it looks like Yiadom is out of favour and has to push his way back into that Right back slot, which means McCarthy has pretty much made it his own IMO. What i meant, more, was that if Yiadom was to come back, I think he'd be fighting for the LB spot, more than the RB spot. McCarthy is a RB, Pearson is Right sided. We only have Fryers who's a natural left footer.
Force em out wide in the middle of the park yes but not within our defensive areas. Can't see much sense in that as all that leads to is them exposing space and bombarding us with unchallenged crosses unless you have lightning quick fullbacks who can quickly get out wide. McCarthy nor Pearson look like whippets.. Ask our former dwarf LJ about bomb alley tactics lol..
A more experienced centre back for me, must be a few sat on a Championship bench every week who'd much rather be playing first team football.
Michael Madl at Fulham could be on the move. Not sure we could afford his wages though. No idea what they pay at Fulham.
Can probably afford his wages, whether we'd pay the wage is another thing. No way we are spending a Championship budget at the minute, and that's before you consider all the money made on transfers.
A French Journalist, tweeting that Cavares is close to joining Barnsley FC from Rennes on a two year deal.
That's what I thought too Yorkie Red. I think it must be a done deal though. Hecky is still saying that he expects the Yiadom transfer to go through and that we should know by Thursday .
Hope so, makes you wonder if Yaidom being left out of the team gave the back line a confidence boost. This "French Connection" could be paying off! Wonder if we can lure Thiery Henry out of retirement!
