    Its also a mess because Supermarkets already negatively impact inflation to an extent they almost control it.

    If the supermarkets push the prices down, they will pass the strain onto food producers and farmers, which in turn almost makes them unworkable. They already squeeze these markets to tiny margins, whilst claiming that they only make 3-4p in every pound. They'll still want to take that cut so any reductions won't affect them but the supply chain.

    This country is truly FUBAR'd
