Me too. Constantly at them to sell up, downscale, spend their money while they're alive.

its called Jealousy and Envy Mark

because some have planned a future more long term. Not just for themselves but also for their children and their grand children. As long as the following generations respect this kinda system then you actually are looking after your own big style. But maybe that's lost on many. Its like pensions, I wonder how many not only on here have taken out good measure and pension investment to look after themselves in their latter age and not just depend on the mediocre state pension. But one thing I would like them to do is to help out the families who need specialist care work for elderly family... if the inheritance tax is to go then surely people should not have to sell their hard earned homes in order to pay for a nursing home or care company..who are in my opinion Highway feckin robbers. But that's another tack I suppose.

I've worked with many types of people and the difference between 'working class' and 'middle class' is in how they plan for the future.

In my opinion it cannot be gauged on how much money you earn.

I've know guys on big money and when they have retired they have had nothing to show for it.

I've know guys on poor wages that have sent there children to private schools and these children have become head teachers and doctors

The thing is it you want to fritter your money away and spend it on yourself then so be it.

But the people that work and save for their children should be allowed to pass EVERYTHING onto those children.
Its only natural that you work your socks off to provide a better life for your children.
So I would totally abolish inheritance tax.

And as it happens that's UKIPs policy ..........and as it happens that's another reason why I will be voting for them.

Instead of working your socks off for your children wouldn't it be better to spend time (and money) with them whilst your here?

And another good post. And I don't usually agree with your posts nudge.

Although I draw the line at "voting for ukip". Would rather blow my **** off with shotgun than vote for that group!

It's conflating issues though. I'm not saying people shouldn't plan for their future. I'm saying that inheritance is the biggest cause of inequality. Two very different issues.

Surely the people that have worked and paid a fortune in tax are "doing their bit" paying for the nhs, benefits and all the other aspects to support social inequality that taxes are used for? Why should they pay all that. Then pay again because they die!
