Any permanent transfers in and out of the club will have to be done by 5pm on Thursday 9th August (five days after the start of the season), as the new transfer window comes into effect this Summer. https://www.efl.com/news/2018/february/earlier-closure-of-transfer-window-agreed-by-efl-clubs/
We need a good clear out, “The Plan” gets some stick on here but it works at this level, as does 442, young players hungry for success worked a treat last time and I think it would again, and in my opinion we already have the core of the squad.from what we’ve got this at the moment I’d keep....... Goalkeepers. Davies, Walton, Defenders. McCarthy, Jackson, Pinnock, Lindsay, Williams, Cavaré. Midfielders. McGeehan, Knasmüllner, Mallan, Bird, Wolfe, Motley-Henry, Hedges, Isgrove, Strikers. Bradshaw, Moore, Brown, Adeboyejo, The rest would be free to anyone willing to pay them. That would be the core of the squad, obviously we’d need to add players but going forward I’d be happy with that squad for starters, the rest have had their chance and stunk the place out.
Said it on other posts but we need to be looking at building a squad not only capable of getting out the division but then capable of pushing on the the championship. Players like Bradshaw, Jackson, Hammill could do a job for us in league 1 but they aren't upto it in the league above. The left backs are both shocking, they definitely need to go. GK: New number 1/ Walton RB: McCarthy/Yiadom CB: Lindsay/ Pinnock/ New Signing LB: New Signing Wings: Isgrove/Hedges/New Signing CM: McGeehan/Mallan/Potts/Moncur/New defensive mid signing ST: Moore/ 2 new signings I don't expect Yiadom to be here but it'd be a bonus
This is not good. If there is any truth to this, it means the club are carrying on with this “spreadsheet” nonsense & the new manager will have little say on the recruitment front. So expect another foreigner nobody has ever heard of!
