That happened to my Granddaughter when she was a baby. She spent a large part of her 1st year in the Children's Hospital. When she came out she was still having treatment. Rowlands Pharmacy in Wombwell over subscribed x10 and the doses she should have. Fortunately her Mother was very protective and questioned everything. She called my wife who was a Senior Staff Nurse at BDGH and my wife checked thing out. If she had been given the dose the pharmacy had subscribed it would have killed her. She is a healthy 15 year old now. The Family goes to Akrams now my wife will not use any other pharmacy..
Antidepressants usually take about 4 weeks to take effect. The drug needs to build up in your system before it starts having a positive influence on your mood. There are side-effects that can occur before you reach this four weeks, but they will dissipate as soon as you stop taking the medication. For your GP to prescribe antidepressants he must have thought there was a problem. Many people are very wary about taking drugs that they believe will influence how they think. Depression influences how you think. A combination of depression and the anxiety you feel about the drugs you have taken can causes the symptoms that you have attributed to the medication you have taken. A few antidepressant tablets hasn't altered your brain chemistry Nudger. Depression has altered your brain chemistry. What you're feeling at the moment is the result of this disease, not what you have taken. You didn't take enough for there to be any kind of withdrawal, nor will it still be in your system a week after taking so few. What you are describing is a common symptom of depression. Go back to your GP, tell him how you feel, tell him about your mistrust of drug therapy and stay ******* healthy. You've had to go home rather than go to the game, that means you're not OK.
As others have said. That’s the depression, not the pills. Placebo effect of the pills have made you notice the symptoms, is what I would put that down to. Don’t stop taking them, that will make it so much worse. Go back to the doctor, but don’t stop taking them.
