    Although yes, if you are pushy on the phone it will annoy.

    Just ask how you did, and if you are unsuccessful ask if someone is available to give you some feedback.

    My sister was unsuccessful in the past, did that and was told she was a strong candidate, but not the strongest but she should reapply in a month when there were more vacancies available ... she was lucky second time around.
