    That's a good point. Be extremely hard to keep it all under wraps if we'd made an approach to someone in work.

    Unless it's a foreign choice again but still be hard for someone not to have picked it up if we'd have gone to another club for permission to approach them etc.

    If he's a candidate then surely he's the one we shouldn't need to interview? It's either a yes or a no based on what we already know about him. If he's been interviewed then it's a box ticking exercise imo.

    Plus we don't know what sort of agreements that Moore and Jones have with Wednesday and Southampton. Sometimes a coach is still getting compo money until they get a new job. Wilder was only contracted to the end of last season though.

    There's a process to follow, especially with internal candidates who could argue they weren't given a fair chance to apply in the aftermath. If we're giving someone the head coach role without asking some searching questions about his philosophy and direction as a head coach, we might as well go abck to appointing Schopp.

    That's why I don't think it's Jones, unless the clause means they pay the difference to what he was getting at Southampton. In which case he might as well come here for a pittance and it's still Southampton paying his wages.
