Ipswich were great against us last season. You could tell they had something about them. Great team spirit above all else.
Delighted for them. Let’s forget it’s Leeds for a second & I’d still be delighted for them. It’s great to see a side come up from the league below & finish above a couple of clubs with huge wage bills, parachute payments & big name players.
From the large pool I have spoken to I have yet to come across an Huddersfield fan who doesn't want Ipswich to beat them.
they have promotion snowball syndrome, there's usually one promoted team who comes up who has it, pompey could be next years example when the whole community is absolutely bouncing because they've been suppressed in a lower tier for some time
Hey begrudgingly, I say well done to them, and Connor Chaplin especially. Compare them to last season and who came up with them... the Champions (Plymouth), and the Play off scroungers (Sheffdy Wendy).
Thought that the back end of last season when they ran rings around us. They looked a class above and you could see they'd be fine in the championship.. didn't think they'd get top two tho..
I thought they'd be a good bet for the playoffs considering how open the division is. Top 2 is incredible though, especially as it's another very high points total needed.
Apparently the dof Ipswich got from Bristol city had been tracking McKenna for 18months before he got him. Let's hope ours is just as astute.
Based on transfermarkt.co.uk figures for this season. (Currency quoted = Euros) Coventry out 37.51m in 39.25m balance +1.74m Ipswich out 4.67m in 0.00m balance -4.67m Leicester out 44.8m in 106.05m balance +61.25m S'hampton out 21.55m in 187.24m balance +165.69m Leeds out 35.9m in 33.58m balance -2.32m Norwich out 3.12m in 27.35m balance +24.23m Stoke out 22.69m in 5.45m balance -17.24m So purely based on the current seasons transfers. Most of em actually trimmed their squad value especially Southampton. Doesn't look like Stokes push worked out too well for an 18th place finish.
