    Yeah, sure!

Like the lap-dancer. She had a big effect on my heart rate - it nearly stopped.

    RE: Rubbish!

Depends on the type of knee injury. Physio advised me to swim, but avoid breaststroke (how long until JLWBL replies?).

    Exactly

That's what he told me too, but can't do crawl properly. Breaststroke twists the knee in all sorts of weird ways. Backstroke OK though but it is difficult to letch in that position.

    Well, yes, in a way

Did my right anterior cruciate playing footy but about 20 years ago. Was fixed by a guy called Bryant who apparently is the top guy around here for knees (so I'm told).

This time it is my left knee and it is a mangled cartilage it seems - having a MRI on Thursday then will know more. Still under the same guy - Mr Bryant.

I tore my right lateral meniscus (I think that's what HM did) very painful but only after running for about 20mins.

Cruciate injuries are supposed to be a lot worse from what I've heard.

    Well mine snapped

Don't let any woman tell you how painful childbirth is. It doesn't compare with your cruciate ligament snapping. Worst pain I've ever known (hidebehindsofa)

They fixed it by drilling plugs of bone out of upper and lower leg bones, threading a piece of teflon netting through the holes, pulling it tight then putting the plugs back in and stapling. In a pot and wheel chair for 8 weeks - up side was I got to see the reds for nowt and used to sit in the old disabled stand at the away end.

Doc did a good job - I couldn't play footy again but was able to ski and go hiking etc no problems - can still ski on it to this day. Was in Austria for the Chelsae game and mangled my left knee jumping up when the big man popped that one in. Had to spend the reat of the holiday in various bars etc - nightmare :D

When was the last time you gave birth then?!!
    Actually don't answer that ... I don't want any post-Dil Raj tales.

Is that the Bryant in Dee Dar Land then? Think my bro saw him too.

    Doubt it

Not with her husband standing about 2 yards away. Mind you, I think he is blind and deaf.
