Blairites, centre right or whatever they are they are elected members of the Labour party and as we all know a party cannot win an election when it is at a war with itself. Corbyn appeals to the grassroots and the left of the party but that is not enough for him to unite a dysfunctional party.

The questions raised by three of his own MPs in the houses of parliament the other day handed Cameron a free punch at their leader and this is unprecedented. He won't unite the party and the Labour party will lose the next election (in my humble opinion).

I don't disagree mate about the disunity, but it is those attacking Corbyn to blame. He is the one with the overwhelming democratic mandate from the Labour party so the Labour politicians should respect that. There the ones damaging Labour's chance of winning at the moment IMO.

It will take a couple of years to deselect the quislings , plenty of time for the party to unite before the election

I'm with you on respecting a democratically elected leader but it was never going to happen for Corbyn. It just feels like the unions and the grassroots are completely at odds with the PLL.

Tories are as much infested with infighting and scandal as the labour party .just not exploited by the press as much for some reason

The only way I see that happening is if there is an '81 style split in the party again.

Every party has disagreement but nothing on the scale of the Labour party right now. The dissent towards Corbyn hasn't been manufactured by the press, its a genuine and damaging split in the Labour party that is evident to even independent observers.

I think that's true, although Europe hasn't really started to bite yet for the Tories

Mario the Tories are in almost as much **** as labour with infighting. Europe is the biggest thorn in the Tories ranks and has always been so, wait till the voting you'll see tebbit has likened Europe to the Nazis, thats a genuine feeling among the sceptics .its all hush hush for now apart from the odd spat.

The spending cuts are as big an issue in some Tory ranks so far they have absorbed them wait till the budget there'll be some dissidents.
The NHS is almost on its knees at some point the truth has to come out.

Both parties are in turmoil the Tories are backed by the media so shielded for now .
I know your not gonna agree with me but the era of the Westminster old boys ( all parties ) is killing our country.

Europe will certainly test the Tories however I think it will also test Labour. UKIP seem to be winning support from Labour too so it will be interesting to see how the two main parties react when Cameron doesn't renegotiate positively and the referendum is close.

We'll see. Europe was always going to be a potential threat to the Tories but ultimately it will be a referendum that decides the outcome. Labour seem to be at war over just about everything, their leader, defence, foreign policy, the cabinet, tax, their budget. Everything. The row on LBC this morning between Livingstone and Mann was embarrassing and does nothing to help the party. That was nothing to do with the press, that was the gaping division there is being demonstrated by two senior members of the same party.

He is a walking advert for why you should never pick a leader through one-man-one vote.
