    They used to have games where it was Gentlemen v Players. The players being the professionals and the players more than held their own.

    In Wakefield when my lads were growing up the top cricket clubs at junior level were dominated by kids from private schools QUEGS and Silcoates , I think at one time you had to play for a local team to get in their school teams , the Yorkshire schools cricket coach also coached at QUEGS school , he was West Indian
