Anglesey has a Westminster Tory M.P. - young lady from Guildford ! who took advantage of the Labour/Plaid Cymru split vote. Angelsey has a Plaid Cymru Member in the Senedd. Anglesey also has a regional Member in the Senedd. And the Leader of the Senedd is a Labour man (struggling!) And the Senedd gets 80% of its funding from Tory run Westminster to run Education/health etc. Too many cooks...…... My guess is the the Taffs are not happy but it's such a ****-up of a system they don't know where to start to sort it out.
Good (if debatable) point. Personally, I don't want the Union to break up, we're old mates who fall out occasionally but would miss each other terribly.
Sad to say Ian. I totally agree. The worry I have is that if Scotland manage to go it alone. We will be stuck with this shower of ***** for the foreseeable without your support. If you manage it. would you allow us to cross the border and come and live. Promise we’ll bring some Percie Turner pork pies and set up a smuggling ring to get em over weekly.
WTF !!! Does anyone know of a communist country that hasnt got an elite that oppresses the rest of the population? Cuba is a prime example of this.
Which is why there never has been *and is unlikely ever to be* a proper communist country. Someone always takes charge and gets the riches and it ends up like Capitalism but with everyone working for the state. The political spectrum is nearer an horseshoe than a line.
Seems simple to me ! Obviously they are not communist countries in the sense of what communism is . They may have set out on a revolution as communists but once in power have betrayed this . Russia was and never had been communist only described as communist . I don’t know any country that revolted as communist end up being true communist the leaders always sold out .
From an article Today, the existing communist states in the world are in China, Cuba, Laos and Vietnam. These communist states often do not claim to have achieved socialism or communism in their countries, but to be building and working toward the establishment of socialism in their countries. North Korea was. but changed to a different Style of government. JUCHE ? .
Was that an American article by any chance? The Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Lao People's Democratic Republic are Unitary Marxist one party socialist states - not communist and both at least is embracing the market more (Vietnam GDP is predicted to grow by *only* 2.7% in 2020 and Laos is averaging 7+% growth over the last decade). These are also two of the safest countries in the COVID world with 0 deaths between them.
TBH mate I used Wiki. And checked back. there are several articles still referring to Vietnam as a communist state. they all embrace the market more and are trying to create a more socialistic ideal. It’s there in the article. I chose not to copy the full article. just what I thought was relevant. Due to 2/3 posters queries/explanations prior.
