Re: There does seem From a personal point of view, I post much less when we lose. Every other week, for as long as I can remember, I've written a few lines after each game I've attended summing up my feelings on the match. Last week I didn't bother as I couldn't find anything positive to say. When we win, particularly if it's a good performance, I can sit on the computer for hours reading what everyone says about the game and adding to the threads. You get to celebrate the victory over and over again. When we lose I prefer to just get drunk.
I try to do the same with regards to post match posting Whether it's good, bad or indifferent. However, I'm encouraged to see I'm not alone in seeking to have the odd tipple, especially after a defeat!
Using a similar point, whenever the club start going through a sticky point, media seems to show keef having a pop at us lot..... Is that just the media spinning it, or does keef get as flustered as us?
Oh and to answer ya point, when we lose, I use this site to rid the frustration rather than take it out of the missus and kids. When we win I go home happy and enjoy my evening with them. So if I appear more often having a pop at the club, tough, its how I deal with it.
I am the same mate, I much prefer to rid my frustration here than on my family or at oakwell where it REALLY could affect the team. It seems that you should only be fluffy little bunnies that believe that all is well and good at Oakwell , to post on here, I never realised that it was a cardinal sin to dare to say anything "bad".
Re: Stop being such a drama queen Mate, threads like this do my nut in. In the past, every pub and club had the same exchanges of opinions as there is on here now, but I am sure no-one ever came into the tap room and moaned about someone daring to have their opinion. Now everyone can get together in a virtual pub , yet it is now not allowed to say anything bad about the club, players, manager etc!!! If there had been the internet forums around during the early 70`s just imagine how bad it would have seemed then !!
With thi mates yes. Not for getting nagged by her indoors cos you've left some clinkers down back of the pan or cos you've forgot to switch over from babestation before going feather.
I think it's more to do With people who persist with criticism when things haven't gone well, but can't find it within themselves to offer praise with the same passion when things have gone well. To keep up with the pub analogy, whenever there was a miserable, old bugger complaining about absolutely everything to do with the club & team no matter what to anyone within earshot, no one stayed in his company, telling him had a right to his opinion. He tended to be either ridiculed or ignored, or both. For me, anyone can voice their opinions on here. After all, it's the perfect medium and that's what it's here for. However, those who persistently criticise set themselves up for retaliation when they don't offer praise when it's due.
Most of my mates are cnuting armchair Man U or Liverpool fans. Cnuts. I've pretty much ploughed a lone farrow on the BFC front over the years. Proper fan alert.
