RE: I can't understand I know men find it hard to have a rational discussion, we do manage to overlook those failings though
RE: I can't understand Shouldn't you be in the kitchen making preperations for dinner? And don't give me any of that multi-tasking ballax! ff
McPhail is the best passer of the ball in the club He rarely squanders possesion and always appears to have time on the ball . Personally , I feel the quality of our football suffers when he's not in the side . His style is different to Shuker's and Devaney's . That is why I feel we are stronger , as a team , when all three are playing . They can cause problems for the opposition in their own particilar way .
Would you drop Howard or Burns? I think its more a straight choice between Devaney and Shuker. and I think the transfer window may just sort that one out for us.....
On present form ? Burns , he's not been anywhere near his earlier season form since he picked up that ankle injury . But then , that's what squads are for . When everyone is fit , Ritchie has a pleasant problem . There does seem to be a strong rumour doing the rounds that Chris Shuker will be on his way next month . By which time , hopefully Kell will be fit and ready to challenge for a first team place .
Agree, it's about hunger and desire for the ball, and McPhail doesn't always display that hunger, whereas Devaney and Shukes seem to have that hunger. Football is about passion, that's one thing women understand..
How about something more radical Drop Richards and play Devaney as an out and out striker. Then Midfield picks itself
McPhail bashing is the most rediculous pastime on this board....... FFS look at last night as a prime example. We put 3 passes together once last night and scored. When McPhal plays we look a far superior team and pass the ball a lot better which means that the strikers get the type of service they require i.e. ball to feet.
I am going to say it again Howard and McPhail are the best combination that we have in midfield. Jacob Burns spent last night running about and fouling at every opportunity and when he gets the ball our attacks tend to slow down and we fail to stretch the oppsitions defence.
Leave Shuker and Devaney where they are doing well at the moment - out wide and get the ball to the strikers on the deck and not higher that the CNN tower.

Football is about passion, that's one thing women understand Aye, like driving, map reading and 'intuition'. Even Jose Feliciano had to beg for it. Oops (hidebehindsofa)
Two out of three there, might just have to pass on the 'tact' though. To be honest, I thought it was 'tacked', i.e nailed on, but you live and learn.
RE: McPhail bashing is the most rediculous pastime on this board....... Are you trying to say that we score lots more goals when McPhail plays or just that we miss more?
RE: Two out of three there, 'kin 'ell. All these sexist comments today! ff Keep it up lads, we'll show em who's boss.
I am merely stating that we will get further this year with McPhail playing than not...... and I am 100% certain the strikers will feel the same way. Sometimes we need two Peter Crouches sat on each other shoulders to win a header. That would be funny to watch cos I'm sure they would mistime the jump like but you get my drift??
We would make more chances with Howard and McPhail in the central positions imho

RE: I am merely stating that we will get further this year with McPhail playing than not...... How long you been watching football ? If it's less than 50 years you know nowt thee. frisnit wibble.
I have watched football for 10 seconds in the last day...and that was yesterdays goal!!!! I can't remember further than that i'm afraid. Does that count?
