The standard of mp at moment must be lowest it’s ever been , and the standard of prime minister is abysmal. It needs reforming and the voting system , it reminds me now of a bent committee. All in it for as much as they can get whilst they are in power .

They should be happy with what they've got. "All in it together", remember? Lol

Tbh if that’s true I think that’s as bad, a GP’s job is stressful and time consuming enough as I would imagine are most NHS jobs.
Just to be clear I think the current case is obscene and if the guy is getting paid that much and working from his MP’s office he wants sacking.
But surely the other side of the argument ( I know according to them they are only paid a ‘pittance’) but they are paid to do a job for their constituents and IMHO that should be it.They are free to quit and pursue other interests any time they want.

I used to have a second job. I did my first job and afterwards, I did my second job. If I didn’t have the time to do my second job because of the time it took to do my first job, I didn’t do my second. Simple.
Candidates , at election time, should declare that they intend to work two jobs, which is the first job, and which is the second. If voters want an MP who’s parliamentary duties are secondary to their first job, so be it, and they vote accordingly.
Anything less than this, and the electorate is being hoodwinked.
