    The place to look is not Sheff United, but WBA 20 years ago, or Burnley 10. Both were similar clubs/operating on similar models.

    WBA were happy to be the yo-yo club, going up then coming down, until their finances and squad were stable enough to remain in the Prem, and they've been a mid-table side ever since (the odd flirt with relegation aside). Burnley similar.

    Ok, WBA were a larger club than us, but Burnley are the number 1 comparison club for us Yorks/Lancs - see ye olde joke re: confusion between the two.

    Some haven't returned and have struggled since. I wouldn't enjoy the experience if we were losing every week or struggling.

    Felt really hard making the trip the 140 mile round trip under Morais because it was so depressing to watch. The 2019 season under Stendel was like a breath of fresh air.

    The endless struggle we've had in general in the championship since early 2000's is hard.

    I didn't bother making the 15 mile round trip in the later days of Morais. So fair play to you.

    I'd be disappointed, because chances like this won't come around too often, but I'd soon get over it, especially given I was hoping these last 8 games were meaningless.

    I also don't think staying in the Championship would lead to a complete dismantling of the team. We'll lose Mowatt, but I'd hope the club realise that means there's more importance on keeping hold of Styles. Similarly, if we sell Helik, I'd hope we don't sell Andersen also. I actually wouldn't be too downhearted if we sold Woodrow and Andersen, but signed or replaced Dike and kept the rest of the first choice players. Hopefully Ritzmaier and Schmidt are impressing at their loan clubs and want to buy them
