In a minute invariably become a in an hour, in a day, in a week!

 

When I was with the wife, I had a T-shirt printed.
On the front it said:-

"CAN YOU
JUST. . . "

On the back.

"Can you just f*** off"

If she ever made an unreasonable request, I "just" asked her to pass my T-shirt.

 

So do I take it she did?

 

One thing I have learnt over my almost 10 years as a married man is to not get caught sitting comfortably on the the sofa.

 

Why does my wife say this to me?

"The grass could do with cutting or the dogs could do with a walk or the living room could do with a vacuum"


Just ask me if i don't mind ding any of the aforementioned rather than making it a guessing game quiz.

 

My wife has incredibly sensitive hearing.

So I tiptoe to bed as quiet as mouse. Only for her to say summary like “you great big elephant. Be quiet”.

So I think, oh she’s awake, I’ll engage in conversation only to be told she was asleep, why did I wake her up.

Can’t win, stopped trying.

I don't miss the tiredness. Having to go to work and earn the money, then having nothing left in the tank for owt else.

I'd rush home to see George before bed then get a rollicking for not doing the dishwasher.

I'd be told you don't spend enough time with your family. Go to Meadowhall, walk round dam, not go to football. Didn't go to my local for two years.

Then when they say you're controlling them because you were having family time and the mother in law wants them to go out around Sheffield.

Then it's "you're not the man I met" after they've moulded and discarded you into a shadow of what you were.

Never again.

 

I think when you have small children you unwittingly get into a sort of competitive tiredness competition. I know I used to get the rage when I was up in the night and their Dad slept through and tbf he did his share baby and housework wise at the time.

 

It wasn't a dig at women. I've mellowed since. Maybe I should have stuck it out longer. When she asked me to leave though. I'd very little fight left.

 

Just glad my wife isn't on the BBS.

 

I think it genuinely causes my partner physical pain if I sit down on the couch when she's doing something. The only reason I haven't retired is because I know I'd have to work just as hard at home but without the pay, and my annual appraisal would plummet!

When i think I have come up with a good idea of what we could do over the weekend then we both agree we are going to do what my wife wants to do.

That's exactly how my weekends start
"What's your plan this weekend?" which when translated into English is "I have a list of things I want you to do, which I can't be a*sed to do myself. However, I am willing to supervise, critique, and tell how I would have done it"

My mum said to me when I first started dating to never give up on my hobbies. She said to me no woman worth staying with would expect it from you.

I appreciate that depends on what your hobbies are. If you’re spending thousands on motorbikes or go off skiing & things like that it’s a bit different but I would never stay with a woman who expects me to give up on Barnsley home games.

Away’s a bit different. It’s a full day out & costs a lot more & I tend to only do one or two a season now we have children.
