Is it still Wilsons Fault?

Fair enough, but can you honestly say there were signs of the improvement to come? Apart from Winnall, where was the attacking threat. We would've needed another overhaul of the squad in the summer to sort out the rubbish Wilson had bought. Waring, Pearson go back and we are left with a squad of players unable to compete at this level. So Wilson gets more money in the summer and we have to give the new players time to settle...the cycle of mediocrity continues. I wouldn't trust Wilson with the money having seen his efforts this season...

I think you will find that this defeat is the latest of many away from home.

So it is simply more of the same.

We suffer. But we will prevail. Sort of. Eventually.

It's a business. Tesco at Stairfoot no more represent Barnsley than Barnsley FC do.

The players didn't exactly look as if they were playing for Wilson against Fleetwood did they? Much as I like Danny and will never forget his glorious past, he was a disaster this time around. He must have signed 30 players in the last 12 months and we were just getting worse. The bunch of tossers masquerading as our players today have used his dismissal as an excuse to throw in the towel. I sincerely hope Crainie & Nyatanga struggle to find a club in the summer and I'm glad that whichever league we are in next season they won't be playing for us.

I think Wilson would've been in a good position in the summer.

Lita & Hemmings are only on one year deals.

It would be easier to move Jennings on with only one year left on his deal.

Cranie, Nyatanga & M'Voto would also be coming to the end of their deals signed on championship wages.

That'd leave him with a core group of Turnbull, Davies, Holgate, Smith, Bree, Cowgill, Hourihane, Berry, Scowen, Digby, Abbott, Lalkovic, Winnall & Oates with plenty of freed up wages for Wilson to either renew the defenders deals on lower wages or bring his own men in & replace the outgoing strikers & wingers.

I actually think the clubs in a good position as long as we stay up this season which I'm confident we'll do as long as Winnall's back soon

But would you trust Wilson to buy the new players? Another big influx of players would mean time required to gel etc... Almost guarantees another poor start to next season.

If we can get Winnall fit we have a chance. Sadly, it looks like he will be out for some time yet. If that's the case then I think we're in big trouble.

Well personally I don't think he's signing the players anyway.

I think overall the results of the signings have been mixed but I also think that most of the lads signed who I'm still unsure on are young kids who've not played at this level before & will be better next season.
