Is Paddy available for this Satdi..........?

Oh yeah Danny isn't being a ****er to him like Hillcroft were to Bobby. Just alot of managers keep out for their own reasons a crowd favourite that alot would rather played.

 

Seems about right to me. I suspect Danny will use him like he used to use Bullock from the bench. When the tiredness of the opposition heightens his chances and diminishes the need for work rate.

 

We've won 3 games this season. Paddy McCourt scored in two of them. Without those goals we'd have won neither.

We've just 17 points on the board. 11 of those have come in the 13 games Paddy has started. We've gained just 6 points from the other 11 games, plus failed to beat Scunny inside 120 minutes, been hammered by Southampton and lost at home to Coventry in the cups.

As for him being a liability, as many claim, we've conceded 18 goals in the 13 games Paddy has started (a good number after McCourt was subbed too) and 24 in the 11 he didn't. Plus a further 7 in the 3 cup games. 31 conceded without Paddy starting the game, 18 with.

Whichever way you look at it, we've been a better team with Paddy McCourt in it. We're still not up to much, but he definitely improves us. Not only do we get to see those skills, but we score more goals, concede fewer, win and draw a greater percentage and get more points. He's much more than an impact sub and maybe the fact that he doesn't chase around the field like Perkins and Dawson is a good thing.

I'm not having a go, it's just that he's not all about being flash, the stats show he has a positive influence on our results.

 

Just what Wilson should have done against Coventry - but he didn't, I wonder why?

 

I don't want someone who runs around the pitch like Dawson or Perkins do, I wanted creative players to be brought in who have more of an all round game than Paddy does. I think Danny feels the same & I believe Lawrence will be an improvement on what we have & I'm hopeful both Shea & a fit Jennings will be too.
