Rooney is a flat track bully scores against so called lesser nations and a few pens too. Only made impact at 1 major finals. Personally would leave him at home.

2 players that should be no where near the squad are Carrick and Walcott.

Hodgson was on Talksport Drive just over a week ago and said he wouldn't be taking players that aren't 100% fit and that we've made that mistake for too many tournaments. Whether he sticks to his word or not I don't know, but the likes of Shaw, Rooney and Wiltshire need to have played the last three games of the season for their club to get picked on that understanding.

Can't really argue with the keepers.

I wouldn't take Jagielka. He's done little for Everton, injured a lot and knocking on. I'd have Shawcross in personally.

Aaron Cresswell has been overlooked yet again. I like Bertrand and I'm sure Baines and Gibbs will be first picks. But Danny Rose? Really?

Rest of the defenders seems fair enough.

Agree with most of the midfielders but Mark Noble should be in there. I'm one of the few who rates Milner, but he rarely starts for England does he? More of a utility player. But Henderson would be nowhere near.

Think the strikers picked would be the ones I'd take. But we all know Rooney will go, and start regardless of form/fitness etc. Maybe this will be his tournament? It needs to be because we're leaving good strikers out otherwise.

    I agree with taking Carroll.

We never ever win owt playing these crafty foreigners at their own game.

Get Sterling on one wing and Joe Similar Workmanlike on the other. Mash owt greasy and tricky that moves in midfield and at the back. Support Carroll when he wins it.

Smash it in on the follow up.

They don't like it up em.

    The 3 keepers pick themselves.

I really rate Flanagan. He's our best full back for me. He'd be in. I don't think there's much in Clyne & Walker so either or.

At left back I'd take Bertrand & Rose. Baines has looked poor since coming back fit.

Stones, Jagielka & Smalling. Dier in as a midfielder who can revert to centre back if needed.

Dier, Henderson, Wilshere & Drinkwater as central midfielders.

Alli & Barkley for the role in front of the 2 midfielders.

Then Sterling, Walcott & Milner as wingers. Welbeck who can play there too or give you the option of another striker.

Sturridge, Kane & Vardy as out & out strikers

I am. Why? What's the issue with him? Clyne seems a certainty for England squads yet most Liverpool fans will tell you Flanagan's performed far better pre & post injury.

At the end of the day he's up against Clyne & Walker for the RB spot. Not exactly world beaters

Flanagan was brilliant in the 2013/2014 season, when Liverpool finished second. Obviously it was mostly down to Suarez but he played really really well. Hes been out 18 months so I wouldn't put him in the Euros this year but could be a quality full back if his knees don't give way. Fantastic tackler

He's hardly played for 2 seasons. If we're looking past Walker and Clyne who are both good right backs, it'd have to be Trippier. Then you've got Jenkinson and Chambers. Flanagan must be a long way back.

For me it works in his favour.

So often our players look knackered come tournaments after long hard seasons.

Same with Sturridge & Welbeck & hopefully Wilshere if he's back soon.

And I'd be doing all I could to avoid taking Chambers
