Don't get me wrong I like Bree , he's a promising up and comer who's done quite well for us....but I can't think of a single game where he has been our best player .
Isgrove & Roberts.. Using Chelsea U23 coaches as some sort of bench mark shows the lack of knowledge you're dealing with here. They're terrible at bringing through youth. What have they done since John Terry? Basically McEchran who's not exactly pulling up tree's for Brentford in the championship & you compare them to Barnsley who've brought through Butterfield & Bree who are both doing well at championship level & Stones & Holgate doing well at premiership level. So I couldn't care less about what a Chelsea under 23 coach thinks about Roberts' 10 yard passes when he's going through the motions pre-game.
Re: Isgrove & Roberts.. Whilst Hemsie was busy rubbing his hands together and thinking up a post to mock Roberts passing the ball slightly to the side of Nathan, Roberts was busy keeping a clean sheet.
In this mad world of Trump and Farage, ladies and gentlemen, after reading this thread I can only conclude that this BBS now has it's very own 'Post-Truth' contributor.
Re: Isgrove & Roberts.. Like you, I was always puzzled by his love of the Chelsea youth system. They are well known amongst those involved with the game to be one of the worst teams around for developing the kids. All they do is hoover up promising young talent and stockpile them(at the expense of the kids that have been in the system for years), before loaning them out time and time and time again, stunting their development.
I strongly advise you think why everyone is having a go at you for writing such a comment about our team captain. You do not help yourself at times and are your own worst enemy. Why the hatred. Supporting the club means supporting everyone every time they pull on the red shirt. This does no good to anyone and brings the forum down. What more to you want? 12 months ago we were 13th in league one.
2 calendar years ago Marc Roberts played for Halifax v Telford in the conference. He currently captains the team 7th in The Championship. Where might he be in another 2 years ? The fact he didn't get swallowed up and spat out by a Premier team's academy doesn't stop him establishing himself to a different timescale. Sent from the darkest recesses of a poisoned mind.
