If there is any chance of getting Val back, I'd drive there myself and bring him back. We wouldn't be in anywhere near as much of a mess with Valerien in charge. He wouldn't have tolerated this lacklustre couldn't be arsed attitude.
Didn’t even manage a full season with us after we gave him a job from being unemployed and boosted him into the limelight, took all our staff and left us to sink, Fk him, I hope he gets sacked.
I love Val Best manager since Wilson, possibly best manager ever at our club. If I won the lottery tomorrow first thing I would buy is Barnsley football club, second thing I would do is appoint Val.
However, our last few games under big Val were poor, and it started to show that teams had ‘worked us out’. I was always concerned even if VI stayed, whether we could repeat the success due to teams knowing how to set up against us. The same can be said for WBA - teams have worked them out.
Mowatt and Dike wouldn’t be here. Also less subs to make an impact in 2nd half. There are lots of reasons why this season could have been a failure under VI. Although I do agree, it would have been less likely to!
I don’t really get this idea that we were worked out last season. We won 4 and drew 2 of our last 8 league games. One of the defeats came after the play offs were confirmed. There wasn’t really much to work out. Either pass well enough to beat the press, or match us for sure physicality and energy. Sadly, we played the one team in the play offs that could do the latter. On Ismael, I think he might not survive a defeat today. That could see them drop to 6th.
Ever thought about a job in PR.. So there's no way you can say 'no he didn't say that' because he did. So because he did say it, it's actully us that are wrong for over analising .. Excellent you're wasted on here..
