stan or oj neither good enough but i will say oj ran chelsea ragged stan would have been subbed after 55 mins ...... never god enough.
Bloody Hell I agree with you, Neither are good enough, but I disagree about Odejayi. Stan has scored more goals in the Championship and that is what a STRIKER is paid to do, not look like he Might do something.
If we're under the cosh, Odejayi is a good player to bring on He might not score goals, but he can swing a game our way as he's such a handful for defenders.
RE: If we're under the cosh, Odejayi is a good player to bring on Only problem is that Davey go's 4-3-3 and play's down the middle and just makes a mockery of putting a big lad on.
I think to allude to the reason you are doing is a very weak and flawed argument. Just because there are a large amount of people who think that OJ has been generally quite poor does not make them racist, although I suspect that this may be the reason behind some peoples lack of patience with the man and wrongly so. Personally, I think booing any Barnsley player is disgraceful, but however Frank played at Wembley and however many OJ scored against Chelsea, the miss was inexcusable and will be many fans (of differing clubs) abiding memory of our cup run heroics. What makes it worse is that he looked lethargic all match and as soon as he recieved the ball I certainly had severe doubts that he looked to be in the right frame of mind to score. That said, I do think that OJ should be given the rest of this season to prove himself once and for all. He has shown enough glimpses to show that he may have what it takes, if only he can apply the mental side of the game better. If anything, he should be firing on all cylinders to prove himself. With regards to Frank, I always believed that despite his performances at times, he was always trying his best and wanted the club to suceed, very similar to the feeling Fjortoft and Taggart gave me. And whilst I am not saying that OJ in anyway doesn't want this, this is one of the reasons why myself and others have such a soft spot for him (plus him helping to play a large part in saving us from the third flight at the end of 06/07). I do find it frustrating on this message board that some people can't accept other peoples opinions on certain subjects, OJ/Davey/New signings/best positions etc. We can't be expected to agree with each other all of the time, the more serious abuse handed around is just puerile and silly. At the same time, I do understand the whole point of the board being for both debate & news.
If we under the cosh OJ goes missing. There is no running, he just lolls about like a disinterested Andy Payton.
