When someone calls your opinion utter ******** but offers no counter argument you know they haven't got an argument to your case worth stating.
What's the point of having a club that instead of striving for on field success exists just to fill supposedly rich people's pockets with more money it's one thing to have to sell players every now and again to balance the books it's a totally different thing when the sole purpose of the club is just to be a production line for footballers. You won't keep new supporters coming through the turnstiles if all you can offer is stagnation and decline without hope.
Not according to the CEO. Last season generated no sales so was a failure ( although Chaplin was sold and they got £2 million for the coach)
The board and CEO don't think it's dependant on league position though do they Hence the statement from the CEO about last season being a failure because they couldn't sell half the squad in the summer.
I don't see where they're lining their pockets though. They may have used the clubs own money to pay for the club, but the money went to the minority owners, not to them, so whilst they shouldn't have done that it hasn't made them any richer. There's a possibility it's made then less poor, but only if you believe they have millions in the bank originally which I take from your post that you do not. If a business makes a loss every year it is deemed to have failed. If we're not careful we'll be in Wigan fan territory where success on the pitch is more important than long term sustainability. I'd rather spend the rest of eternity in League One with a football team in Barnsley, than spend a couple or years yoyoing between Premier League and Championship, then go bust and wind up like Bury.
I think you have contradicted yourself , the club received the fee for the HC because he was successful which is exactly the point I made.
Only an absolute fu cking idiot would choose to interpret that single sentence in that way. But if that’s what you want to believe; crack on. You’re entitled to an opinion
Yes, it's a conundrum. I've just started my second season of the new Football Manager (already, I know!) and Brittain is phenomenal on the right wing, so maybe we need to hang in there and give him a chance higher up the pitch? Styles on the other hand is an issue in that system - I would try him higher up on the left of the 3.
Second season already?! I’m only on Forest at home... Brittain is class for me too, think he is my highest assister at the minute. Styles is a beast for me too.
It's first time I've played in 20 years! And I'm playing the mobile version so whizzing through it. Styles is great for me too. Little tip: Tom Lawrence (from Derby) in AM in a 3412. Got 23 goals in first season ahead of Woodrow's 22! I've sacked Oulare off already, disgraceful attitude
