Yes, you expect to bring in a loan player who is better

My point being though that, although you may expect to play them in every game, you cannot give a commitment that it will happen

Although AR might not get exactly the players he wants how picky can he afford to be. We are migrating closer to the foot of the table and if a loan player or otherwise come January could strengthen our squad then he should be considered. How hard can it be to find a better left back than Hecky or Williams?

AR identified the players he wnated...

but GS didn't come up with the goods (ie wages etc)

If the above is true, you can understand why AR says I will not sign anyone who doesn't improve the squad....

So my reckoning is why waste money on someone no good who won't make the first team.

Couple that with a few real dodgy tactical decisions, and thats why we are struggling at the bottom of the league.

he also said one of his first priorities was to

get cover in every position...

this provides the cover, albiet not a a great level, but without them, we wouldn't have "appropriate cover" for all positions...

so AR acheived his 1st objective last year which was and I quote him from one of his own interviews on Radio...

"my first job is to get cover in all positions"

So, now he is on the job of improving everything, and I then refer to my original post
