How DOES this man keep getting jobs in football? I thought the League undertook 'due diligence' checks to make sure unsuitable people couldn't get involved with clubs any more?
A new career for peter............... A caver in the peak district He get's in through the smallest holes and leaves a big black hole behind.....................perfect!
No.
It's because Ridsdale used the new position he'd skanked himself into to shaft us for sacking him. It's becausetheir board waschaired by, and now their shareholders are led by, the most hated man in football. It's because the worst hooligans in the UK have enjoyed the backing of their club's chairman and it's because, despite all this, their fans have seen fit to sneer at their neighbours and the rest of the league.

AFC Cardiff, what a smile.

OK potted version !!!!! Accounts should have been filed 31/3/06. When not filed I mused that the results may be bad. Filed 22/11/06. Loss £6m. Total accumulated loss £31m. Majority shareholding in company is held by Rudgwick Limited which is owned by Mr Hamman. Rudgwick is a holding company whose accounts for 31st May 2005 also should have been filed by 31st March 2006 (you can draw your own conclusions there) the accumulated loss at 31st May 2004 was £21m.
The auditors draw attention to a paragraph in the directors report which basically states that the accounts have been drawn up on a going concern basis under the assumption that the conditional development agreement re the new stadium will become unconditional and that this would give the potential for the company to be reimbursed funds paid by the company in respect of professional fees and other pre-development costs expended on the project to date. This should provide sufficient funding up to Feb 07.
No wonder they want the restructuring to go through !!!
In fairness to PR it seems the majority of the problems arose before he arrived. It will be interestingto see what 2006 accounts bring.
Dave

I think it will all get sorted. Sam just wants to make sure he gets some of the money to be made on the deal. He knows the new owners will make a good profit, what with the council chipping in with £40m or so, and wants some of it. As things stand I don't think he is getting anything for his shares except the loan notespaid off. Bit of ' hard negotiating' on his part I think, threatening to scupper the whole deal. Thing is if the wholedeal falls through then Sam will lose out altogether so that's not in his best interests. A last minute agreement is on the cards IMHO.
Good Luck To Cardiff..... City, and i hope they survive. As fans of a club that's been in the shitter before, i am sure we can all sympathise with them.
cheers Dave so everything hinges on the new ground going through? but surely it will - why would hamman block it if , as major shareholder , it will be in his best interests to generate future revenues for Cardiff City?
also - why do you think Hamman left the board of directors at Cardiff - doesn't make sense, it must have been some sort of tactic , have you any idea why?
I'm a numbers person mate, for conspiracies you'll need to ask someone else !!!! (There's plenty on this board !!!!)
thats what im saying - a special resolution has to be passed - but why would shareholder(s) - in this case SH block it?
I don't think he will, I just reckon he's trying to squeeze as much as he can out of the deal by holding out to the last minute.
