    I guess if 5000 people did contribute something (or even 1000, which is far more likely), there is the immediate issue of who takes on the day to day running of the club. Obviously you can't have an active board of directors of several hundred folk as it would be an absolute madhouse. Another option which is logical on the face of things is those who contributed most money have the greater say, but this could be construed as being elitist. Elections? I am definitely in favour of at least exploring such an arrangement, though I have absolutely no idea how it works.

    That's how it used to work; the shareholders elected a board to run the club

    I'd love to see a full breakdown of our finances and where the money being pumped in is actually going to. Is it propping up the day to day operation or covering other bits eg the academy
