Hmm, may have to check weather and road conditions tomorrow before we set off. Do you know if they've finished repairing the road near the garage going towards Grenoside/Sheffield (near Middlewood) that collapsed during the last floods?
Well I could live to be 104, so in theory it is still a possibility. Anyway who has been talking about fitness centres recently? A sure sign of a mid life crisis if ever I have seen one. "Crises of the Third Age" is rather poetic - I'm impressed. Is that a book or a film about aliens? If it is a book, I bet I wrote it.
What do you mean "Will be"? The High Street is always gridlocked with drivers revving their engines and getting nowhere fast!
No it's still single file traffic At the Jet garage bend on way into Greno. Delays aren't too bad except at peak times. The collapse at Middlewood is different - but that hasn't been fixed either.
Fitness Centres My body is and always has been a temple ..... except at weekends, and occasionally in the week.
I meant on that bend. Last time even though we set off with plenty of time to get there we ended up in the queue for over an hour as there had been an accident just past the lights. Thanks for the information.
You can always cut through High Green, go down to Chapeltown, Ecclesfield, and take a right back up towards the A61 through Ecclesfield (past the church). Bit fiddly, but I sometimes do it if the queue is bad.
Will see what traffic is like tomorrow. Got to be there for 10am so probably be setting off during rush hour traffic.
RE: Will see what traffic is like tomorrow. Where do you park? Its a nightmare. If we go, we generally park at Morrisons, Hillsbro, then take the tram up to University & walk the last bit.
Oy Back off now, I can still play cricket when required you know, and I don't use "Just for Men". I can also ski all day at a frightening speed without ever using a lift and think nothing of a quick jog up Scafell Pike while my wife is making the morning tea. I once drove two motobikes 2.5 miles on my own and I can also do joined up writing.
I always manage to park somewhere near the hospital, usually on the road as Laura has a Blue Badge. Sometimes if we're very lucky we manage to get one of the 20 parking spaces in the hospital carpark.
RE: I always manage to park That's not so bad then. Have we sorted out a date for this curry yet by the way? Can't wait to see what all the fuss is about - the finest curry house in Yorkshire I believe?
That there hail Just reached us. Its so loud against the windows I can barely hear all the car alarms.
Sorry not yet, if you want a weekend then Kev isn't off until the end of Jan. http://www.dil-raj.com/
RE: Sorry not yet, Saturdays are best, (but Ian reckons it will be too packed) but if we are not away we could go for any day in half term ... Not sure if we're going to take off though. Other thing re half term is my mum (babysitter) might be away then. Would rather not bring kids... neither are great eaters and they'll be bored before the starters come out! Plus we deserve a night off!
