What would the BNP do if they were in power?

A Greek immigrant married to family of Germans living off the state, getting priority housing and not having to contribute?

Just asking like, cos those sticking up for these foreigners are the same ones voting for the BNP. I'm confused....

    Why do you ask questions....

....when you're clearly unable to make any sense of the answers?

    Have you answered the question?

I understand exactly the answers, I just have more questions.

You've said they have a massive personal income from 'The Crown' estate. Why do the government continue to part-fund them?

    There you go.

"Massive personal income." You see what you want to see.

    Try this.

A long long time ago a kind and generous king had a cup of tea with the government and told them that he wanted the money from all his lands to go to the people and that, in return, all he would ask would be a bit of it back so he could carry on being all posh and kingly. Most of the monarch's land and properties were bundled up and they painted CROWN ESTATE in big blue letters of the side. This now, although still technically the property of the reigning monarch, couldn't be touched by anyone - including any greedy kings who might come along and try to spoil things for the people and especially by the people (who sometimes might get a bit confused about what constitutes a good deal for them.)

And today all the profit from the CROWN ESTATE still goes to the people who still only have to give about a quarter of it back. And, although there are some people who don't really understand how well they're doing out if it and would like to spoil everything, the CROWN ESTATE still can't be touched by anybody, no kings or queens and especially no half-witted commoners.

    The End.

    The Queen doesn't take money.

    FFS, how many times?

Income from Crown Estate = £190m

    Civil List = £41.5m

Balance in our favour = £148.5m

Any personal income besides is as much to do with you as yours is with her. The fact is we're £150m up on the deal.

    RE: There you go.

'Half-witted commoners' - have we met? That's an apt description of me.

And, back to the point in hand....

'The portfolio is managed actively. Property sales and purchase transactions valued at millions of pounds are made by The Crown Estate every year.
Land and property belonging to The Crown Estate is let through almost 10,000 tenancies across the UK.
The urban portfolio represents 78% of The Crown Estate’s total property value and over 75% of its gross revenue surplus. It includes shops, offices, retail and business parks, industrial sites and residential properties.
1,340 affordable housing units are provided for key workers in London.
Almost all of the property in London’s Regent Street and Regent’s Park belongs to The Crown Estate.
The marine estate includes more than 55% of the UK’s foreshore, tidal river-beds and almost all of the seabed within the 12 nautical miles limit – including rights to all minerals but excluding hydrocarbons.
With 119,000 hectares (294,000 acres) of agricultural land and forest, we have one of the largest rural estates in the UK.
Windsor Great Park, the only Royal Park owned and managed by The Crown Estate, is enjoyed by around 2 million visitors every year.
Rights to all naturally occurring gold and silver – the Mines Royal – belong to The Crown Estate'

I get my 'massive personal income' from the fact they rent over 1300 homes in London and 'actively' manage their property portfolio. It's not going to be a lump of coal and a tenner a month is it?

Do you not see there are benefits to the 'Crown Estate' being handed over to the Govt which in turn would level out what you say we make from the crown currently? Tourism wouldn't go down and I think you know it. So we'd be making MORE money.

And you still haven't answered the second question. Why do we part-fund the royal family when they have such a <strike>massive</strike> personal income? Or are you going to ignore that one?

    Yours

    O. Cromwell.

**** me sideways. Can you actually read?

The Crown Estate income isn't "personal income."The income goes to the taxpayer! There's absolutley nothing in it for us for the The Crown Estate to be handed over to the government, I can't think of a simpler way to explain it.

And I can't answer your question because we don't "part-fund" the royal family. They part-fund us.

    Yours, George III

So the Royal Family make no money from the Crown Estate and it all goes back to the tax payer? Or have I read that wrong?

RE: Elizabeth Sax Coberg only owns Balmoral and Sandringham

    it's fairly simple

the state is the crown. If you find valuable items on your land over a certain number of years old they belong to the crown. Even if something is administered by the government that is Her Majesty's Government.

personally I don't see this as a bad thing, I am a royalist and when you look at the figures the fact is with the crown estates and everything else considered they make money for the country. Possibly you could make more by getting rid and restructuring how things work but that would be a risk. Given the cultural benefit I believe we gain from the monarchy I am very happ with the status quo.

If we get all the money from the Crown Estates........then why

..........do they announce every year what Prince Charles has made for that year

Last I heard he made nearly £18 M.........where did this come from ?

Thats NOT Crown Estates money.........its Princes Charles money

And if he made this amount, which is near half of £41M, then what did all the rest of the royals combined "earn".
