I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with what they wear (i'm not a big fan myself), I was just describing my image of cycling.

East London was by far the biggest winner of the Olympics? That's not entirely true. In fact, it isn't true.

All the people that choose Yorkshire as a holiday/weekend destination will remember 'these French fookers', who are not all actually French. Do you realise that? You do know we've had a couple of winners of this event recently?

They'll be loads of people wanting to cycle the TDF route after this week, and the fact that Yorkshire beat Barcelona, Florence, Venice, Berlin & Amsterdam to host this section of the race should be applauded rather than mocked.

Have people always been this miserable? Like constant chiming everytime something positive is happening.

I agree. It doesnt interest me at all and i wont be going out to watch but I still think its fantastic that it is here and great for the area. I dont really understand why theyre choosing to show off scruffy residential areas though instead of more of our rolling countryside. I dont think many will see an inber city stret in sheffield and book an holiday based on that but if it spent more time in the picturesque areas they would

They'l be loads of scrolling films though about Yorkshire and our history that will be shown around the world, which I imagine will include lots of countryside shots.

On French TV today they were trying to make Fish and Chips on one of the cobbled streets, so imagine there's other bits like that going on. As unimpressive as some of the scruffy residential streets are to us, they don't have those kind of streets around the world. You show Canadians a row of terraced houses and they're amazed!
