Well, every club has a team they always seem to lose to. Around the Wembley season, it was always Ipswich, our best game against them was in fact at Wembley, and we still lost. Over the last couple of seasons, it's clearly now Donny - annoying, but it doesn't ruin a season.

Why should i support someone else???

Just because i don't rate the 'great' Andy Ritchie.
How dare you suggest that i stop supporting the team i have followed and had a season ticket for the last 10 years and supported them through some of the worst times in this clubs's recent past.

Yes we are 6th but we have done it because teams around us are even worse than us and we have had a lot of luck.
He has no tactical nous and despite signing some good players (Hayes, Howard and Devaney)he clearly can't get the best out of them. He is one of the lads and as people on here have said he won't sign a good player because he is scared to upset them.

He has no proper coaching staff and as hard as good old Rick tries, he was employed by the club as a physio and that is what he should be, not an assistant manager/first team coach/reserve team coach/ physio/ teaboy etc all at once, come on- even the most heavily in debt clubs can afford some proper coaching staff!!!!

So say what you want but do't you dare suggest that i support someone else!!!!!

he has made one or two mistakes

but he is defo the man for the job. you should be thanking him ofr our league postion. because going into the season we would all take where we are now. if you say you wouldnt have you are either a liar or the same bread as the wendys and you think we have a right to be top

    Well said Jonathan!
There is nothing that says that because you support the club, that you have to turn a blind eye to what are obvious errors or misplaced loyalty by members of the management team.
I wonder if these lads will be as loyal to the club, or to Andy Ritchie, come the end of the season, if things don't go as well as expected? How many of them do you think will refuse to sign for any other club, when their contracts run out, in case it upsets the team spirit at BFC?
Out of fifteen, how many will re-sign if we don't go up, if other clubs are interested in them?

How do you know thats the reason

I've no idea but it could be for example that said midfielder wanted 10K a week.

Also we have (generally) an excellent team spirit but I dont see how that is harmed by signing a new player. - He just signed Wright and doesnt seem to have upset Hayes and Richards

    As stated on another thread.

It was stated from the outset...

That this season would be a stepping stone for next season.

ie consolidate this season and push for promotion next.

I maybe completely thick here, but we are in a great position, and we have a real genuine chance of doing it this year.

achieving a target 12 months early in any job is a great achievement.

The guy has done extremely well in trying to weed out the crap (ie T.Williams/Conlon/Vaughan)

and bought in some decent players, and on the verge of bringing in a couple more.

The only thing he lacks is impatience (like many of us on here have) and the bottle to severley kick ass and throw mugs of tea about.

    Give the bloke a break.

Look at his record since he took charge, and add end of last year and beginning of this year together, promotion material in terms of points and results.

He has done that with hardly a penny to spend and inheritance of a pretty **** unmotivated team.

He is still learning and will get the hang of it, he is doing one thing that no manager has done for years, and play with 2 out and out wingers which is why we are probably doing better than we all expected.

The thing spoiling this team is arrogance, some of them think we have a right to be up their instead of working their ballax of to get it. And they cannot play mind games, they should learn to shut up and get stuck in and do their talking on the pitch as it clearly doesn't work trying to wind up beforehand.

This team is the beginning of something special, anyone who can't see that needs their ballax cutting off or ***** sowing up.

Remember, rome wasn't built in a day and didn't have to put up with a different manager every 6 months. (look at warnock and ferguson, both have had years and have done something, you can't do it in one or half a season)

What they need is encouragement, a fanbase willing to get behind em instead of waiting for something to happen. And I thought Blunts and Wednesdays fans were daft.

END OF RANT and I don't feel any better...

RE: Why should i support someone else???

We are playing in league one ( third division in old money ) Top six in the league and the best home points tally in the division.

Weve a small squad of players, no real money and "wait and see" supporters who wont turn out until they can smell brasso on trophies.

The better players we have arent perfect and dont perform every single game. If they did they would be at an higher level so you can hardly blame Ritchie for "not getting the best out of them".

Ritchies a good guy. Hes better than Hart, Thordarsson, Parkin and Spackman in my opinion.

IF he was a tactical genius then he wouldnt be with us instead hed be on the shortlist to replace Sven wouldnt he?

No ones saying Ritchies "great" as you put it but hes got us in a promising position and as such deserves all our support as do the players.
