Agreed, however on the point about stay away fans....

You're kidding yourself if you think we have stay away fans. Our fans are the 9k that always turn up. Upto 3k floaters/stayaways. The rest are just folk who like a big game.

We'll never sustain even near capacity in the home end at Oakwell unless we're in the Prem.

    Football has changed Dirk

£20 for the cheapest ticket in the ground is a lot of money. Many people simply cannot justify or even afford spending that much money every other week on what is essentially a hobby.

    RE: Football has changed Dirk

I know it has, and Ithink twenty quid is too much anyway, whether someone can afford it regularly or not. I also think the categorising of matches is an absolute disgrace as is the reluctance to make ST's easier to buy due to the withdrawal of the pay by installments method and the encouragement for folk to buy it on a credit card instead.

I also know there are plenty of folk residing locally who do nothing but slate BFC for everything they do, then turn up to 'big' games - not just now, but they have done for years. They were the first ones begging their mates with season tickets to get them one the season we went up to the Prem.

but the prices didnt go up this year!, they remained the same as the did when we were in teh 1st division, therefore, why should it go down?

i could udnerstand your point if the tickets had gone up when we went up.
