One thing I'm confused about (but I'm totally thick when it comes to anything arty) is what shape would the actual badge be on the ones above? I presume not squrare, but we'd need the white behind it to tie all the bits together. A white circle around the edge?

You could do what you like.

This is what Man Utd do:

This is what Hibs do, which is the badge I completely ripped off:

Or it could be in a white circle. Or the red circle could be the edge of the badge, but have a white background. Whatever looks best with the kit.

I was just thinking with the numbers being red on a red shirt, although they could be changed to white. I don't know why I'm putting this much thought into it though, it clearly won't happen.

I'm no designer or in any way creative so you might want to ignore this.

However, yours seem like a collection of images just put together. I think they all need to be linked together a bit more subtly. Not having a go whatsoever because it's far better than I could do, just my opinion.

You're absolutely right, they do. The well, the oak leaves, the pick and the rose all need t be of a certain style and they're not, but this is just a thrown together idea with stuff I could nick off the web.

Yeah I've no idea about how you would stick em together, guessing you'd have more ideas than me! Understand you're only having a messaround though and in geeneral in looks good.

Not only better than the options presented by the club but considerably better. And that's just by cobbling together some images whilst pissed, a worry. Definitely the first one Jay, but as others have said with the well tweaked a bit

I'm not a dinosaur, I'm happy to change the badge but I don't like the options presented. Can I spoil the vote?

Re: A couple of tweaks now I'm sober

What you do, if you've got any talent, is design every aspect yourself all in the same style, either in a software package or with a piece of paper and a pencil and then import them on to the computer, rather than nicking a load of stuff off the net and cobbling it together like I have done. Some graphic designers will do everything themselves, others will use clip art packages, while others will hire an artist for the individual aspects and then put the pieces together. I haven't got any talent. I could design a pick axe, a rose, a well and an oak leaf, but when I'd done they'd look as disparate as they do now.

Looking at them again, I think you've just coloured the Hibs badge in with red :)
