I didn't really notice Dawson tonight, I was too busy shaking my head at Woods & Mellis but it's the same old story with him.

He's ok as a spoiler making tackles & covering ground for others when he's got talented players around him but when he's partnered with mr negative in Woods & has to join in with trying to start attacks then his lack of ability is clear for all to see.

Please point out to me when, in the last 2 years, Mellis has shown even the slightest incline that he has talent? That game against Birmingham aside.

Dawson didn't have a good game, he and about 8 others. Yet you strangely single him out because he puts the effort in? If you expect any less from a player then you're very easily pleased.

I've lost patience with Mellis myself but he had an excellent first season last year with us plenty of goals and assists so it's a bit daft to say that he hasn't demonstrated his talent. Dawson he tries bless him.

Mellis was better last season, still not very good though in my opinion. I do remember being in a minority with that view though.

Now you're just talking daft. You know the Watford game where Captain Useless cost us two goals but escaped largely unscathed? Mellis created our best chance of the game.

You must have missed the Hull home game I assume?
