Hope her day went well stevie

I think a trip to Italy would be a fantastic experience for Laura.
Perhaps, because I'm her Father, I get somewhat 'protective' when someone posts a photograph of an Italian bloke and then asks my 13 year old daughter "How could you say no ?".

RE: Go - Question for E.I. What's up with Naples?

For EI Addio - you said avoid Naples. Just booked a 3 day holiday in February, hotel's in central Naples next to the railway station. Now tell me the worst!!

    Where to start mate.

It's very rough and, though we didn't risk first hand experience, is regarded, even by the local, as dangerous after dark.

Getting closer to the docks is also to be avoided.

The traffic is a staggering nightmare, roads up, gridlock etc... it took us best part of an hour to get to the main bypass autostrada at the quietest part of the day and once on it another two hours to get out of the endless roadworks and jams.

It's also filthy. One of the dirtiest places in Europe.

Sorry mate - it's best avoided.

    Rest assured

She's the most well adjusted, sensible 13 year old I have come across. (even if I haven't met her yet! Come on get this night out sorted!). I'm sure she'll appreciate the trip more than most.

I've been told today at school

That, because of my illness, I can't go to Italy. The L.E.A. can't get the insurance necessary to cover me on the trip.

sorry to hear that Laura. Thinking about it you wouldn't have liked it anyway, the views aren't that good, the food is awfull, it rains all the time and all the men are ugly.(plus you can see a volcano anywhere) You are much better off here with your friends. (rulez)

    Ah, but

What about our two dogs ? At least if I'd been allowed to go with the school, I'd have known Mum and Dad would've been at home to look after Bella and Sable.
