Pretty much has been said but I concur with everything said about him. The news has left me numb which is something I d never experienced from tragic news of someone I ‘d not met before ( except music and sporting giants ). I know he was a proper fan of the Reds and also liked cricket. I know he went in the Mount, raised loadsa money for charity and had a brilliant sense of humour but I regarded him as a forum friend. Peace be with you !
Condolences to you and your family DJ. Only knew Cunning Stunt through his posts on here which were always a pleasure to read. A true red through and through, RIP Gaz.
So sorry to hear that mate, my thoughts are with you at what must be a difficult time for you and your family. He'll be remembered fondly on here for sure.
Only just seen this thread. What Devastating news, RIP Gaz. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Really sad news. Sincere condolences to you and your family. I bought the last edition of Eyup and Down from him outside Oakwell. Top bloke who will be very much missed.
Not sure if it's possible, but I think probably the best tribute anyone could make would be trawl through all the WSB fanzines and Eyup and down etc (maybe with posts from here as well) and make one fanzine with all his things in it. Nobody else's, just one last hoorah of all his best bits. I'm sure that would be a best seller and make quite a few quid for charity. Maybe even his own favourite charity if he had one....
Sad news, don’t know him personally but having been on here many years it feels like I do…condolences to you and your family DJ. Rest in piece
Can't pretend to have known the lad well but met him a time or two in the WSB days. Had a chat with him before the Cheltenham game and he was on fine form. I'm absolutely dumbstruck. Sympathies to his family and friends is about all I've got. Top lad taken way, way too soon. Rest in peace and rise in glory, young man. The difference you have made with your charitable work will live on as a legacy.
Sad news. He posted Tuesday night saying he was going to hospital and missing the match. Proper fan, enjoyed reading his posts on here. All the best.
Been away from the forum for a few days due to family emergency but so sad to hear this news. Loved reading his posts and came across as a top lad. RIP mate
So sorry to read this, I've just seen it as I'm in France at the moment. Terrible news, always made me laugh as a poster
