    Too right. Everyone here knows who we are, and is very surprised when I tell them that we don't play that well every week. And even more so when I tell them how low we finished in the league. But as for the publicity we got on telly here - Steele, Howard and Odejayi are household names in St Petersburg!

    The statement "8th would have got us noticed more"...

    than victories over Liverpool and Chelsea and an FA Cup Semi Final, is one of the stupidest I've read on here.

    I think it's a toss up between that and....

    ...the guy who yesterday claimed that Darren Sheridan is our worst ever player.

    I seem to remember Colchester, Southampton and the Deedahs had top 10 finishes the previous season and it didn't exactly hold them in 'good stead' this season now did it?

    An 8th place finish would've been a fantastic achievement but what we did in the FA Cup was just remarkable and is unlikely to be repeated by anyone outside the Premiership for many years (I can't be certain but I think the only other team to beat both Liverpool and Chelsea this season was Man Utd). Simply put I will never forget the FA Cup run and the chances are we as Barnsley fans will never experience anything like it again, an above average finish in the league simply doesn't stir people's emotions in the same way.
