I predicted a keeper and a left back would be what he asks for, so I'll go further and predict if he picks Wiseman on Saturday, it'll be another painful defeat with Knockart/Dyer ripping him a new arsehole and our new manager will be watching from the stands against Reading.
Re: I predicted a keeper and a left back Be interesting to see if we start with a similar XI and formation to how we finished on Sat. Pedersen hopefully back, but can Scotland be dropped ? Given the RNL scenario probably yes. If he starts with Kennedy and all of Etuhu/Perks/Dawson then goodnight Vienna imho.
Re: I predicted a keeper and a left back I hope we do get Butland in all honesty, from what I've seen he looks very impressive.
I agree, we have plenty of options all over the pitch but changing the keeper will not solve our problems if he then still plays Mellis and Dawson on the wings and Kennedy at LB? We had 8, yes 8 defensive minded players on the pitch at the start of the game on Saturday and still went in 3-1 down. We could have had Cech or Hart in the nets and the score would still have been the same.....
Is he though? I understood that Pollitt was brought in to "help" Luke by offering the benefit of his experience (and admittedly putting a little pressure on him). I don't see how Butland would fit that criteria fully.
