He had six good games for us last year, max. Went missing in the Ipswich game after Bowyer went in hard on him and he was supposed to be our captain.

We would've all taken the wage rise he was offered and moved on.

Whitey thinks he's good because he's said 'hi' to him on tw@tter. He's mid table championship at best.

Birmingham only had one bid that matched what they wanted.

    Stoke.

Butland was being sold in January regardless. The money had kept birmingham safe until the summer.

You are entitled to your opinion.

But to suggest that Butterfield is " mid table championship" flies in the face of the interest shown in him by other clubs at the time.

    And insults my own eyesight.

JB has hardly wasted his talent Hemsworth. If anything, he's made the bloody most of it. It's Norwich who are looking like mugs.

It's best not to get sentimentally attached to any of them 'cos they're all money grabbing little backstabbers. Footballers are there to provide a service that's it. There's no difference to getting a cleaner once a week, or a prozzy....

You're a bit far off there mate on a number of things.

He was our captain and best player I've seen us produce in 20 years of watching us.

Why don't you list all his good games.

Shouldn't take you take long

Nice to see he got five minutes game time tonight too.

Dunno what Max has got to do with this, but I disagree. He had more than 6 good games for us the final season Robins was in charge, and scored one of the finest goals I've ever seen at Oakwell.
But you're entitled to your opinion.

    Agree. My point exactly.

I think he's good because I think he's good. I've never spoken to him, on twitter.

Got 5 minutes for a play off side while on loan from a decent prem side. Not all bad.

I can't pull the games off mate but it was no coincidence that when he didn't play we'll, we didn't. He was our only attacking threat for the first 2 months of the season, remember him being quality v Brum, Peterborough, Blackpool and Hull I think but all round he was great when he played for us last season.

    In my opinion like.

There's only one point worth making, our record after Butterfield got injured. Butterfield was the last time we've had any real creativity in the team. He left for the premier league because he thinks he's good enough to make it long term. And if he can recover fully from a horrible injury he will do. Good luck Jacob, it'll come.

I also remember Burnley at home, Derby away, Leicester at home, Leeds away. Ran the show in most of those games, and those you already suggested. So there's 8 'good games'.

Agree. I enjoyed watching him play. Not produced many players who can score from over 20 yards with both feet and set plenty up either.

And therein lies my appreciation of him, everything else aside.

I've also felt similarly about Higgy, Howard, Hammill, Vaz Te and now Stones. And that's what I'll remember.

He did, he went to a Premier League club thinking he was good enough to get in the side.

We can't take all the credit, but we definitely had a lot of input into his development.

I agree Phil, the club gave him everything, nurtured him, developed him, showed him patience and loyalty and he ultimately took us for mugs and showed the club no loyalty back. Unlike Stones I felt that Butterfield thought he was a world beater and became a superstar in his own mind. Dressed like a great puff too.

I don't think that Butterfield is fit to lace Stones' boots.
