the simplicity of it: lose a player, replace him out of the transfer fee. you lose a player like butterfield, you look for other targets. as good as he is, potentially, there are equally as good players we could get hold of.

Its always hard to judge these comments as being a player surely you don't really know who you talking to who can then spread what you say.

I'm not saying he didn't say what he is quoted here, but very often it is made up by people who want to appear close to players who tell them some secrets...in a public place to a stranger.

    As someone mentioned above

You've obviously not met Brian Howard after a couple of cordials then!

I bumped in to Lumsden and Mulligan years ago when out in Wakefield, and they were all for telling the stories of the training ground at 1am!

    Footballer's just aren't that savvy!

If we do sell him, Hill could request that he come back on loan. He did that with Craig Dawson at Rochdale, when he sold him to West Brom

Although Lumsden and Mulligan at the ground at 1am should have really been only about them doing extra practise!

Howard had plenty of videos on Facebook of him drinking. Now Butterfield too big for that social media network as he appears to have taken himself off in the last few days?

1am in Wakefield, talking about all the goings on at the training ground/football club - not 1am at the training ground (now that's a story!)

It's nowt to do with intelligence mate

Some people like to keep their counsel and others like to talk. You can have a genius IQ and still want to tell everyone all about yourself. You can be pretty average and keep everything to yourself.

Butterfield 'too big' for facebook? Maybe he is just bored of it.

Sounds like he's starting to believe his own hype

the thing is, he's done nowt yet. One half decent, half season. Big deal. He'd be a squad player in most top 3 or 4 Championship sides, so whichever Prem side it is, they must have money to burn. I'd have Hammill over him every, single, time.

If he stays, fine. If he goes, not that bothered. Just that.

    Re: As someone mentioned above

Somebody's created a false account of him, posting false things. Someone (probably the same weirdo) then created an account on a dating site, using his personal photo's from facebook, pretending to be him. He's understandably angry and has deleted his real facebook account.

And given it was you who stated Butterfield was "...not a championship quality player...fact..." I guess we all need to listen.

He's just confirmed on twitter that he doesn't have a Facebook account and the one(s) thats there is fake.

    <a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/827/twitterhomegooglechrome.jpg/'><img src='http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/6703/twitterhomegooglechrome.jpg' border='0'/></a>

Wonder if he's been reading this ?

    3 reasons not to worry:
    .
1: Hillcroft are in charge of player recruitment
2: Matty Done is going nowhere
3: Paul Digby & Reuben Noble-Lazarus coming thru
    .
and, when he goes, lets remember, Donald Rowing is charged with getting a good fee.. he hasnt let us down yet :/

We have got our fair share of numpties. I hope JB has the sense to see that many fans want him to stay as he is our most talented player. I won't hold any hard feelings if he does go either. I think it would be a mistake at this stage of his career but it's entirely up to him.
