The likes of Jacob Mellis are just one reason why I hate football. I sincerely hope the attitude of this lazy waste of space catches up with him and pays him back.

Maybe... I think Ben will try anything to deflect all of this off himself

I'm not sure what Ben has done wrong here? He's been open with us but the ace cards were up the sleeve of a lazy little ******** and we've decided to fold and leave the table. Its not an ideal situation but I can't see why Ben can be faulted for any of this.

    Good.

Wish him all the best, not a shadow of the player he was we had on loan the first time.

If he'd have played lime he did against Birmingham every week, he'd be in the Premier League. Sadly he never replicated that and was all too lightweight and lazy to ever make it here.

    Correct.

Ben's words and Ben's actions are two opposite things.

No point in saying that - some players just aren't made that way. Asking him to work his ******** off is like asking JOB not to run around as much.

Sadly for him unless he can find a way to put that into his game he's going to struggle to make it in the higher divisions.

Good luck to Jacob Mellis if he feels the need to leave. I enjoyed watching him more than most of the idiots we've employed the last couple of years. He was my POTY in 2012-13, thought we'd dropped on big time with him. But last season he was a shadow of that player and a handful of games aside he made it impossible for me to continue to defend him.

He's a talented laiker, but there's a lot more to being a successful footballer, and he fails in so many other aspects of that.

But good luck to him. Seen a lot worse.

Decent assessment. Flitcroft really did him no favours last season and instead of encouraging him, he stuck him on the wing and then dropped him which i think crushed him.

You hope a player has the mental ability to overcome such things and you get a positive reaction, but sometimes they just need to move on. I felt he did try a lot, but often when he tried most, he didn't get the rub of the green (at Hillsborough for example) and by the last third of the season i think he was pretty broken. Shame.

I hope he gets the opportunity to show his undoubted talent.
