I also don't agree Jalo must start. He needs looking after. Ease him in gently. Clearly got potential, but U18s and proper league football are night and day. We all know what Barnsley fans can be like. If he doesn't score straightaway, it'll very quickly turn into 'that's why he's still with the U18s'

It was the game v montenegro the last game he played for them. They were 1 down he got subbed they came back and won 3-1. Tuesday we were better when he went off the field as he was having a shocker.

Doesn’t really answer my question. 3 games ago they were 2-0 down to Lithuania, he came on and they drew 2-2. I don’t think either result totally hinges on whether Styles is on the pitch.

Don’t really care what he’s doing for Hungary when he’s not performing or worthy of a shirt here tbh.

In fairness, it wasn’t me that brought his Hungary games up. Just trying to equal up the logic.

I think we all want to see Styles pick up his level for us in league 1. Although you’d think if he does do well for Hungary on an international level, then teams will surely be interested in him? Then many on here could get their wish and see him leave.

Regardless, they were unbeaten in the Euro qualifiers and I'm fairly certain he played in every game. You'd struggle to say that was in spite of him.

Be interested to see us attempt 4-3-3.

    Killip (for now)
    Williams De Gevigny Lopata Cadden
    Styles Connell Kane
    McAtee Cosgrove Cole

I agree with the idea that he/Jalo needs more match time, but not a full match. He really could be an asset for us in the second half of this season, with 30 minutes or more as a sub.
As for Styles, as an Intl player he should be ashamed of his performances this season, as its only Lg One level.

You make that sound as if folk have an unwarranted personal vendetta against him.
As one of the higher earners and an experienced international, he should be lighting up L1. When did he last do that? When did he ever deserve that Bury Baggio tag? It'd be nice if he does it sooner and for us, but I hope he plays a blinder for Hungary in the finals and gets a top move as he clearly doesn't want to be here and expected to be at Millwall by now. Its the only way we'll get anywhere close to his release fee.

Agree McAtee for styles but to play in attacking midfielder role. not sure Jalo is ready for full games yet but there's only one way to find out.

Anyway back onto Jalo, he needs more than 10 mins at the end of the game, he needs introducing more often and for longer. As for starts I'd at least give him a handful of starts this season.

Other clubs don't nurture, they put them in if they're good enough. It's a different game these days, more skilful and better athletes. He isn't going to get booted up in the air and grunted at by a big hairy centre half who's going to snarl at him "welcome to men's football" it's not 1987.

You have just disproved your own opinion. He’s clearly not good enough (yet). He would be starting already.

I don't think l did, suppose it's how you read it. Putting them in means in the squad and playing them not necessarily starting.

The way I see it is if he was on loan from man City he'd be starting every game. We do this a lot. Give games to **** loanees who are nowhere near up to standard yet but won't give games to our own young players because they're not up to standard yet.

Funny enough, that was going to be my next reply. If he was a Man City youngster on loan...
