Just a reminder that our assistant manager wasn't exactly a bad striker himself with 140+ career goals. Not as many as Norwood, but much of his career was at a higher level. They'll be alright for advice and experience...
I am somewhat concerned. I think this smacks of further managed decline and hopeful punting rather than long-termism. Norwood isn't a fantastic player, he's a decent league one bloke who's legs aren't great. But he was arguably our best striker. Its not so long ago we had Keiffer Moore up front. Now we release/sell Norwood. If the incomings in attack dont cut the mustard AND the defence doesn't gel/cope we are in trouble here. To me it looks like short-termism again with a hope that the manager can compensate and the newbies blend and reduce costs. If this season goes tits up it'll be bad next year. Of course, things may pan out really well, but decisions like this make me concerned.
It could go either way. We don’t have any sort of record of being able to recruit non league forwards. Dallas could be the one that breaks the mould but I’d be pleasantly surprised if he managed double figures.
Selling Norwood is a big mistake,I'll tell you this if they don't start the first four games well things are going to turn toxic very quickly !.
Relax we'll sell 11,000 season tickets for the League 2 promotion push. Plus charge floaters £30 a game.
Ok, probably wrong but if you look at his hair, fresh cut, shaved on Saturday, check his most recent insta photo, then look at this photo of him at Oldham it doesn’t match up, hes weeks without a cut in that photo. ….first steps of grieving…
If he goes someone wants to be explaining why. We're supposed to be hanging on to our best not giving them away
No he wasn't,look at the pic of him in his tracksuit prior to the Crewe game, definitely not clean shaven.
Possibly, possibly not but I suspect the manager will take the flack. There's a bigger picture here about the long-term strategy which isn't really being addressed on BBS posts.
Because the head coach is not incharge of transfers.. in or out.. he plays his best 11 he's available until he's told otherwise.
There's still a core support out there to tap into but people like me who haven't had a season ticket for a few years wont be wooed back. I'm not stupid. I love BFC but equally I am not going to be taken for a fool. I know the board put money in recently but one vould argue they had to do that because of their own failed.strategy. I'm a minor cog in all this but the board need to bring all the little cogs onside OVER TIME. I'm still waiting for some continuity and build.
