Suspended by Sky for the rest of the season. They are going to get him help and decide before start of next season whether he is okay to return or not
Meanwhile the driver of the other car has been spoken to by GMP and given "advice" about his driving. He isn't expected to be prosecuted. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/police-give-update-carragher-spitting-14403638
Fitting punishment would have been to pull up alongside him last night, attract his attention, then say repeatedly, "2-1 mate, 2-1 hey, 2-1!! "
Sky are going over the top with this. Hard to believe they’re suspending Carragher for at least 10 weeks while drink drivers don’t even get any time off air
Listened to Jeremy Vine show yesterday and he was asking if the driver was the worst offender out of the two. Divisive subject I know but for me they are both as guilty as one another. No one's worse or better. Driver shouldn't be using his phone whilst driving, so that's a road traffic offence. Carragher gets paid a lot of money to keep his window wound up, eyes front and not rise to the bait. He's acted unprofessionaly, but in a disgusting way. Both should be made accountable. Driver by the law, carragher by his employers, unless spitting is an offence, then get him fined as well.
Kirsty Gallacher - Recently banned from driving for 2 years, being 3 times over the drink, drive limit and ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid community work. An actual offence that could have lead to someone being killed. Returns to work for Sky within 24 hours of being convicted (TV sources confirmed she received backing from her bosses).
That's relatively good news for me as I cannot stand the sound of his voice. Hopefully Sky will dispense with his services permanently. Then I only need ITV to find a replacement for Glenda who must have a Nobel prize for stating the obvious.
But she wasnt filmed doing it - its total double standards and I dont see why either of them should lose their jobs but a you tube video is a powerful vehicle. No doubt had Gallagher been filmed staggering out of her car and mouthing off at police officers and that put on you tube she would also have been treated differently.
I never watch Sky ..so not bothered what they do. Wasn't he in the LFC team when we played them in the Premier league. They were giving abuse to our fans women, kids etc who'd waited for an hour or whatever after the match, and were giving it large as they were going for the coach home. As I recall from the news reports atthe time .. am sure Carragher was part of it
Ffs yeah right ? Bloke gets taunted , bloke gets mad , bloke needs anger management ? Really ? That’ll be 99.9% of the population . Must remember next time I stubb my toe to stay calm !
Just like Suarez, so probably stroking Carragher's ego http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ker-anger-management-counselling-8582442.html
I appreciate it sounds a bit daft when applied to the man in the street but from Sky's perspective if you're paying someone a million quid and you think they're doing a good job then a few grand to stop them making a dick of themselves on their own time and dragging your company's name through the mud isn't the worst investment/PR decision in the world.
She was stopped the day after her drinking and still over. She'd have rightly been fired had she been drink driving home. Loads of folks must go out in their car after sleeping off the night before, unaware they are still over the limit as they feel fine.
THREE times over! and thats ok because its the next day! so by your logic drive home from the pub 2x the legal limit is a sackable offence but drive the next day 3 times over is not so bad?
I don't see how that makes any difference. It's her responsibility and if she was 3x the limit she would have been able to feel that she was not ok to drive.
