Jamie Vardy

Interesting fact I’ve just discovered (well, I found it interesting).

Vardy is third in Leicester’s all time goalscorers list with 190.

In fourth place, with 156, is our very own Ernie Hine. For anyone who doesn’t know (and shame on you if you don’t) he was a local lad who is our all time record goalscorer with 131 goals.

Astonishing totals - and that’s not including goals Ernie scored at other clubs.

Oh, and good player though Vardy is, he always comes across as a bit of a tw@t.

 

I'd no idea who he was and I didn't hear any deedar chants. Having not played for Wednesday or United or played at Oakwell before, why would anyone check where he was born? It was as unexpected as that Jack Aitchison, who also hadn't been chanted at.
